What games to avoid for the Old 3ds?

So as the title says I have a glossy blue 2011 3ds and I understand that Monster Hunter 4 U won't work. I believe that it's similar to dsi only games, which take advantage of the higher core count t, frequency and ram.

I don't have enough money to buy a new 2/3ds (I'm 13 lol) but I have some money to spend on games and while playing Pokémon X in 3d mode I noticed massive FPS drops (looked like 10) while both the 'mons were visible.

Are there any games that also do this but still run fine in 2d while fluctuating fps-wise in 3d? 3d is a big thing for me and some games like MK7 are really well done and that depth slider is always at the top.
